Edify’s Certificate IV in Youth Work (CHC41808) is a nationally recognised qualification that will make you employable within any youth specific service or organisation within Australia.
You will be taught in the context of Australia’s premier youth service, the Oasis Youth Support Network in Sydney – featured in the critically acclaimed 2008 documentary, The Oasis. It offers homeless and disadvantaged young people hope, help and opportunities to access relevant education, training, jobs, counselling, and drug/alcohol programs.Students will be enrolled through The Salvation Army’s registered training organisation, Booth College.
The course will offer a holistic training approach to youth social work from a Christian worldview that combines classroom teaching with ‘real world’ practical experience on a consistent basis in a diverse range of contexts.
Your teachers and trainers are highly qualified practitioners with a wealth of experience, including Captains Paul and Robbin Moulds. Participants will be required to attend weekly classes and complete all assessments over a period of nine months to meet the requirements of the certificate.
